What is ChessMo?
ChessMo is a comprehensive web application designed for chess enthusiasts, tournament players, and coaches. It provides powerful tools for building opening repertoires, training for tournament preparations, studying openings, and analyzing games and PGN files. ChessMo is a product of KaspaChess, powered by Kaspatec ZM technology.
Who created ChessMo?
ChessMo was created by KaspaChess, a chess education company founded and led by Coach Kaspa (Mr. Mbulo Paul Kasuba). KaspaChess operates under the protection and sponsorship of Kaspatec ZM, a leading fintech company based in Lusaka, Zambia, which provides the technological infrastructure that powers the platform.
Is ChessMo free to use?
ChessMo offers both free and premium features. Basic functionality is available to all users, while advanced features may require a membership. Visit our membership page to learn more about premium access and benefits.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, you need to create an account to use ChessMo's features. This allows you to save your repertoires, games, and analysis securely. Your data is stored in your own isolated database, ensuring complete privacy and security.

What can I do with ChessMo?
ChessMo offers a wide range of features including:

How do I build an opening repertoire?
You can build opening repertoires by going to the Repertoire page, creating a new repertoire, and adding PGN files. Each repertoire can store up to 20 PGN files. You can organize repertoires by color (For White or For Black) and use them for training and study.
Can I analyze my own games?
Yes! ChessMo allows you to paste PGN files and analyze them move by move. You can navigate through games, add comments, create variations, and use the built-in Stockfish engine for position analysis. All your analyzed games are saved automatically.
What is training mode?
Training mode allows you to practice your opening repertoires against the computer with time controls. You can choose from Bullet (00:30, 01:00, 02:00), Blitz (03:00, 04:00, 05:00), or Rapid (06:00 to 10:00) time controls. This helps you prepare for tournament play by practicing under time pressure.

Do I need to install any software?
No, ChessMo is a web-based application that runs entirely in your browser. You can access it from any device with an internet connection - no downloads or installations required.
Is my data secure?
Yes, ChessMo uses multi-tenant architecture where each user has their own isolated database. This ensures that your data is completely separate from other users, providing maximum security and privacy. All connections are encrypted, and we follow industry best practices for data protection.
Can I export my data?
Yes, you can export your games and repertoires in PGN format. This allows you to backup your data or use it with other chess software and platforms.
Does ChessMo work offline?
ChessMo requires an internet connection to function. However, once you've loaded a game or repertoire, you can work with it locally. Your changes are saved to the server when you're online.
